FTSE to open at 7,442 (-16 pts)
Financial markets have regained some composure during the last 24hrs with Wall Street ending yesterday’s session in mildly negative territory, and Asian stocks bouncing from lows overnight.
High-level talks between Kyiv and Moscow on Monday ended with no agreement except to keep talking, and Putin’s ‘end-game’ remains unclear.

Yesterday’s price action saw the FTSE consolidate sideways within Friday’s large range.
Prices remain just below the descending retracement line which has formed during the last month, while Friday’s high on the futures at 7,568 is a key level of short-term resistance while 7,216 remains a key level of support.
