FTSE to open at 7,470 (-3 pts)

Stocks on Wall Street extended their recent winning streak on Monday, rallying to a sharply higher close – led by the energy and tech sectors.

Overnight in Asia, stocks have edged higher as traders looked ahead to the release of US inflation data this afternoon.

The US consumer price index reading is expected to offer markets guidance on next week’s rates decision from the Fed.
